Another Happy New Year to all and a great big welcome to the Carnvial of Fraud. Here we highlight the latest blog posts about scams and schemes:
- Matthew offers us more commentary on Quixtar, basically saying that the products aren’t that great and not priced competively. (I wonder if he’s ever seen Mary Kay products, which are completely overpriced for their quality?)
- Corey rants on his PayPal experience, and he’s warning others not to use the service. PayPal is easy to use, but can become the biggest headache in the world if a the person on the other side of your transactions decides to commit [tag]fraud[/tag].
- David Maister blogs about whether people can be manipulated (they can), especially in sales transactions. (Would this be a good time to mention the deceptive [tag]recruiting[/tag] practices in Mary Kay?)
- Amanda blogs about ChaCha, an Internet search engine based in Indiana, which uses live poeple to search Google for whatever you can’t find yourself.
- Leon Gettler at SOX First discusses the decrease in the numbers of securities-related lawsuits. This is an interesting piece!
- I found a website about the [tag]lawsuit[/tag] over Flip This House, one of my favorite reality-based TV shows on A&E. It featured Richard Davis and Trademark Properties.
