Barry Minkow is hitting the big screen

That’s right, folks. The scammer-turned-fraud-buster Barry Minkow is going to be hitting the big screen. The Hollywood Reporter says that IMG Film has acquired the rights to make a movie about Barry’s life. He was the youngest person ever to take a company public in the United States, but eventually spent over 7 years in prison for fraud.

Barry has been investigating fraud and has helped the FBI uncover numerous investment frauds. His latest case involves Usana Health Sciences, a multi-level marketing company that uses vitamins as the front for the real sale of a “business opportunity.”

His autobiography, “Cleaning Up,” will be the basis for the movie, and preproduction reportedly will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
