I am facing the similar issue but not sure what I can do my amount is quie small. I am getting carged for uncollected funds by the bank on a regular basis. They are claiming that I withdraw money which were not collected by bank. For example last month I had a minimum of 7K in my checking account. They still charged me $2.82. When asked I have been getting told that this amount is for uncollected funds. When I asked when my account was negative or I withdraw more than what I had in my account I was told that they can;t give me this information. I talked to their supervisor and she told me that I can call to find out if I have uncollected funds. It reduculous that they are charging me amount without any explanation how I can avoid those charges and on top of it they can't tell me how come they are charging me a particular amount. How come that amount is not lower or higher.

I am frustrated, thinking of changing the bank but most of the clients I deal with have Bank Of America account so dealing with them easier.

Surmising that it happens all the time given the news reports.
Government seems of little help as there are no rules government cares to enforce against bankers, perceptions that have no basis in law except social glorification of $1,000 suits, most of which were probably bought with someone else's money.

Very discouraging, and disheartening, when one can't even trust the banks which have the most strict regulations in the nation. If those don't work, why have a police force, or homeland security at all?

Trust Banks? You have to be kidding. Banks and Bankers are the lowest bottom dwellers there are. A Banker is NEVER your friend and if one ever agrees to help you, you can bet there is plenty in it for the banker and very little for you. I am sure that the way bankers think they are hoping to keep this in the court until the poor woman passes away, then they will claim that her family has no legal claim. Bankers are SCUM!

Sad to see one of the largest and well known banks will work with illegals yet when it comes to a long standing customer their standards get lowered. Make me wonder why we put our trust in banks like that
