It wouldn't surprise me if there is a lot more to this story then just problems with their business model. Sometimes, it's just better to throw the old CEO under the bus and own up whatever happened. If current management didn't properly report the details then it has to make you wonder whether they are beholden to their shareholders or to their fellow insiders.
