In the process of this eye opening experience, I think she would effect change and her willingness to mix it up would bring in a great deal of sunshine. Alaska politics are rough and tumble but the threatening and vindictive Mike Wooten and the turf-protecting Monegan should not be used to 'bring down' someone who will champion Alaska and remain an Alaskan regardless of where she is. Folks just can't stand it that she is not the typical Washington politician, and because she is different from what we've grown used to, they must dredge up something to lessen her influence. I love the fact that she is strong and intelligent and that she is well thought of in Alaska. The fact that her approval rating went from 80 to 82% following the announcement of her intention to run on the ticket with McCain shows that although the vast majority of Alaskans would be sorry to lose her as their governor, they obviously believe her value as VP to all Americans would be ten-fold.
