Participants pay upfront and monthly fees to have an “online travel agency.” Commissions are supposedly made from selling travel services and packages, but the majority of money is made from recruiting others who pay fees for their “agencies.”

The company was accused of being a pyramid scheme by the California attorney general, and the suit ended with a judgment prohibiting YTB from using deceptive advertising and endless chain recruitment.

Usana Average Total Earnings

Usana Health Sciences offers vitamins and other nutritional products through a multi-level marketing structure. For years, the company has been dogged by allegations of operating a pyramid scheme and doing business illegally in China. In November 2012, Citron Research released a detailed report on allegations that the company has been illegally operating in China to fuel  the company’s growth.

Optavio features ultra-low calorie diets built around powdered foods. The company has been accused of being an endless chain recruitment scheme, and there is an ongoing fierce debate over whether Medifast is offering a pyramid scheme to its health coaches. I
