This is latest in a series of posts on a Yahoo message board by an alleged insider at Usana Health Sciences. Previous posts can be found here, here, here, here, and here.

Tonight’s post:

I have a proposition to make to anyone from my company. If the below information about stock repurchases are not exact to the penny and the share repurchases are not one hundred percent correct, then I will come forward immediately, identify myself in the form of a sworn affidavit admitting to misdemeanor identification theft but not for any monetary gain only for information.

An employee should not be punished too severely for this offense but I will take the risk, as the information below is the most disconcerting yet posted. I will also agree to never post anything else on this board or any other board and should I do so I tell all to not believe a word. If the company wants this posting to stop come out and show minimal documentation to disprove the below and it ends. The company is not the only one that can disprove this. The brokerage firms can disprove the below facts. I am saying that if this information is not accurate to disprove it my company or the brokerage firms involved can provide little to almost no evidence and I go away never to be heard from again. Do not allow these people to get away with this any longer. I am ill and cannot bear this. I had a conscience once.

On May Fourteenth we paid for 203,000 shares to Canaccord Adams with 8,189,771.10, which we drew down from the loan identified in the q on May fourteenth in the amount of 8,170,000. On the fifteenth we paid for 73,800 shares to D A Davidson in the sum of 2,998,700.64 which we drew down on the line for 2,200,000. What I am trying to say is we bought and purchased our April upgrade with D A Davidson that abruptly appeared and raised so many questions as to how we could earn an upgrade based on all the unknowns.

Please do not let these people get away with this. Check this out you broker dealers who have friends at these firms that will not go to jail for Usana personnel. Ask if the repurchases were made in these amounts. How a firm can up grade a stock and then thirty days later take our money to help make the upgrade target price come true in the form of buybacks is beyond me. They can because it is not a buy back but Usana my beloved company has coined a new phrase. Buy ups not buy backs and D A Davidson was only too happy to comply. Canaccord Adams upgrade, then buy back check. D A Davidson upgrade and then buy back check.

Check our phone records for collusion on sending rebuttal to your law enforcement buddies from outside source. Guy calls all the time and has been encouraged to inundate law enforcement with rebuttal to discredit report while we maintain our neutrality. Phone records will prove this and the hope of the naivety of law enforcement. Bank records will prove the rest. You have not been served with the lawsuit two months after filing out of fear of subpoena power. Ever wonder why the SEC does not scare us but we will not serve you? Sell your position and turn the money over to the stockholders and this will end much sooner. That is all we have on you.

This is the opportunity to get rid of these posts. Prove any fact wrong. I will post this shortly.

This is all pretty fascinating. Assuming this is all real, why do you think this person has chosen to post messages on a stock board? Why wouldn’t they just go directly to authorities with their information? It seems like it would be easier for them to fly under the radar of the company insiders who surely are trying to figure out who this person is.

I did look at the Usana investor relations site. I couldn’t see anything refuting this guy. If it was a hoax, you’d think they would say so.

I wonder why the person has chosen the message board too. From everything I’ve seen, I do consider the details credible. I wonder if the insider is afraid that everything will be swept under the rug if he/she goes straight to the authorities? This way the information is in the hands of the public, and people like us will keep asking questions.

That’s a good point that hadn’t occurred to me.
