The consensus is that they can&#8217;t do it.<\/p>\n<p>But the sheer ignorance is stunning. The sound bytes from board members went like this: &#8220;The problem is the funding formula. We need to fix our funding.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wrong! The problem is the spending. The district is wasting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sequence-inc.com\/fraudfiles\/2008\/08\/21\/more-wasting-of-taxpayer-money-by-mps-surprise\/\">nearly $14,000 per child.<\/a> It&#8217;s wasteful because children <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sequence-inc.com\/fraudfiles\/2008\/07\/05\/facts-and-figures-on-milwaukee-public-schools\/\">aren&#8217;t being educated<\/a>, and because the amount is excessive.\u00a0 That&#8217;s not a funding problem.
