His first criminal trial ended in a mistrial and cost him almost $18 million in legal fees, while the second trial cost him $8 million. Kozlowski is appealing his conviction and is named as a defendant in many civil suits, and this will add significantly to his legal bills.<\/p>\n<p>Kozlowski has now filed an action in Manhattan Supreme Court to get Tyco&#8217;s insurers to pay his legal bills.
