Hi Tracy, I have a friend in New York City who just contacted me saying she was offered a job at Primerica. I’m trying to do research on the company so I can make sure she doesn’t get scammed. She met with a man at their office today and they told her they don’t advertise, they don’t have to recruit, don’t have to pay for products themselves so it seems alrighty. She didn’t sign anything, but she did pay for a background check ($120) and they told her she needed to get licenses (she doesn’t have to pay for it). They signed her up for courses and she didn’t pay for it or put any money down.
I don’t know, I’m just trying to get as much information as I can.
I’m thankful for any information or insight.

It’s not a job. It’s a multi-level marketing company that pays much lower commissions on insurance sales than regular insurance companies. If your friend wants to sell insurance, she should go to a normal (not MLM) insurance company. They would be happy to have her. And she won’t spend her time and money trying to recruit people into the scam. She can spend time actually selling insurance and building a client base.
