It’s been a while since we have looked at the many legal troubles of Jennifer McKinney (aka “MckMama”) and her husband Israel McKinney. In short, Jennifer and her husband have repeatedly stiffed creditors for hundreds of thousands of dollars, losing FOUR houses and having their bankruptcy filing denied after trustee Gene Doeling busted them for lying in their court filings.

This week, the McKinneys lost the fourth house. Marine Credit Union obtained a default judgment against them after they failed to even respond to the lawsuit filed against them for failing to make payments on their house. The bank got a judgment of $334,105 (plus interest) for the house, and $2,528 for attorneys’ fees. The McKinney’s (well, really the bank’s) house at W5441 Innsbruck Road in West Salem, WI will be sold at a sheriff’s auction. Marine Credit Union can pursue the McKinneys for any deficiency (if the sale price of the house does not cover the total that they owe).

For those not familiar with the saga of the house…. the McKinneys entered into a land contract for the West Salem house on in August 2012, with a purchase price of $280,871. Jennifer put $20,000 down, and financed $260,871 at an interest rate of 6.95%. Monthly payments were $1,716, with the balance to be paid in full in April 2013.

Shortly before the land contract balance became due in full, there was a very suspicious fire at the house. The land contract was amended on April 9, 2013, with the McKinneys paying an additional $10,000 plus $3,600 for costs related to the land contract. The interest rate went up to 9.65%, with monthly payments of $2,113. Jennifer and Israel McKinney did a huge remodel of the house while repairing the damage from the fire.

On November 23, 2013, the McKinneys got financing from Marine Credit Union.  Jennifer’s mom and dad (Shirley and Jack Sauls) borrowed $60,000 against their house (2226 Barlow Street in La Crosse, WI), which Jennifer and Israel (ever the good stewards of money!) apparently used for a downpayment. The loan for the Innsbruck Road house was for $318,750 at an interest rate of 11.5% (adjustable, but could only go up, not down). That’s a monthly payment of $3,157 on the Marine Credit Union loan (and property taxes are not included in that amount).

W5441 InnsbruckHere are a couple of fun facts about the house and the foreclosure…

Based on the amount of interest noted in the judgment in favor of Marine Credit Union, the McKinneys last made a mortgage payment around November of 2014. That means MckMama made a whopping one year of payments before she flipped the bird to the bank and became a squatter in a house owned by the bank.

If you add up the cash the McKinneys have put into the house since the original land contract, it totals over $160,000. This includes only downpayments (assuming the $60k borrowed against Jack and Shirley’s house was used as a downpayment on the Marine Credit Union financing) and monthly payments, and does not include real estate taxes or any maintenance or other costs related to living in the house.

I’m sure Jennifer thinks she’s clever for squatting in this house for months. (No doubt she was just as proud of herself for not paying rent to her former landlord, for running up utility bills at that property and not paying for them, and for allegedly leaving that place in squalor.) But the joke is really on Israel and Jennifer McKinney (who repeatedly get each other arrested for domestic violence and generally have miserable lives). They have paid over $160,000 to live in a house for 33 months. That is a cost of $4,848 per month, not jennifer mckinney commission 030815including property taxes. Who is the fool now?

Most curious about this situation is the fact that Jennifer McKinney claims to have made $750,000 through Xyngular since she became a distributor in March 2012. In this 2013 article, she claimed to be making $30,000 a month from the scam.

Here is the truth about multi-level marketing: They never make nearly as much as they tell you they’re making. Oh sure, Jennifer has made money from Xyngular. But she hasn’t told you about all of the business expenses she has to try to keep her pyramid going. And she hasn’t told you about the thousands of dollars she continuously spends to purchase products to continue to qualify for commissions. (Didn’t you wonder why she is always giving away free products? She’s got to get rid of that stockpile somehow!)

Jennifer McKinney has spent the last decade perfecting her scams on innocent people and businesses. Even her “success” with Xyngular has only come through deception. The picture on the left is the picture MckMama uses to show people how Xungular (her “all natural supplements”!!!) works. The picture on the right is what she actually looks like. Read more here about how and why Xyngular doesn’t work, and be sure to follow the links in that article for more information.

Amazing they were able to get away with all of this for so long. Hope to see them go to court and everything get sorted out! Thanks for sharing!

Tracy, why do think the credit union went after the deficiency judgment instead of kicking them out in 6 months? Does the credit union have much chance of collecting on the deficiency judgment or is there some other advantage for the credit union?

Did the credit union repo her car?

Suzy – I’m not sure why the credit union chose that route. We can only hope that somehow, some way this really hurts Jennifer.

And it appears that her name is still on the title of the Escalade.

Why aren’t they arrested for any of this?

And to think she started off as THE Christian Mommy Blogger. She certainly fooled me for some time. I consistentely asked friends of mine to pray for her little boy — the one who apparently was never in the dire straits she claimed he was in. How can she look herself in the mirror let alone not be in hiding for the rest of her life? She flaunts her make believe life with all of these tricks following her around everywhere. Most people would be mortified they’d been “found out” but not her. I think she is severely mentally ill, and it’s such a shame she has no one in her family who loves her enough to drag her in by her feet to get her help before she ruins her children for life. Such a volatile life they lead. Yet so many Christian women still falling for her bag of tricks not knowing who she really is. She’s good, I’ll give her that. Good at being deceptive.

How is she able to purchase house after house with all of these foreclosures attached to her credit? I wouldn’t lend this woman a cup of sugar!

The Bible is clear “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.” But I think the way in which you tie Jennifer’s personal information to the company she is involved in is equally unethical. Xyngular has ZERO to do with how Jennifer runs her personal finances and personal life. To make that correlation is irresponsible reporting. Its not logical and was only to done to enhance the drama of your blog. Thankfully, most people are discerning and can see through that line of faulty thinking.

Teri – How is Jennifer NOT tied to Xyngular? You fault me for discussing Xyngular here, yet she is a major promoter of the company. That seems awfully relevant to me. You’re right though… Xyngular is a scam with or without Jennifer.

I don’t know Jennifer personally but can tell you that she is not a credible souce for claiming that Xyngular is a scam as well as other sources which have proven she is a liar and can’t be trusted.

Traci–any idea what happened to the mcfacts site? As of last night I can’t get to it–something about a “DNS server”

As to the old comment from Teri-we absolutely can put fault on Xyngular for Jennifer’s lying and scamming. I’ve seen many reps who have seen Jennifer recently (and taken photos with her) use her old “before/after transformation” photos and claim that their friend Jennifer lost so much weight and look how good she looks! Meanwhile, they saw her last week and know she’s morbidly obese and nothing like the phony “after” pictures. The other reps and Xyngular themselves know this and continue to lie to people by posting Jennifer’s pictures…all so they can make a buck.

Do you all have nothing better to do than tear this girl apart? How are her problems, your problems? Love thy enemy would be the good Christian thing to do. We all have bad crap happen and I do her and know she’s a good person. Shame on you guys for pointing fingers.

  16. Tracy Coenen 11/15/2017 at 8:38 pm - Reply

Jessie – You mean shame on us for pointing out her repeated dishonest behavior, right? We have plenty to do, but I felt it was important to document the antics of one Jennifer McKinney, as she is repeatedly telling tales in order to recruit people into her pyramid scheme. It’s a shame that you’re offended by the FACTS, but they are what they are. No, Jennifer is not a good person. But I think it’s kind of you to defend her.
